COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS/RISKS


The CDC continues to streamline its COVID-19 ​guidance to help people better understand ​their risk, to protect themselves and others, ​what actions to take if exposed to COVID-19, ​and what actions to take if they are sick or ​test positive for the virus.

The Therapy Cove is committed to following ​local, state, and federal guidelines regarding ​COVID-19.We offer telehealth services for ​those who would prefer to meet online from ​the convenience and safety of their home. ​Your decision to meet with your therapist in-​person means that you assume the risk of ​exposure to COVID-19 (or other public health ​risk). Despite careful attention to sanitation, ​social distancing and other protocols, there is ​still a chance that you will be exposed to ​COVID-19 in our office.


Your agreement to meet in-person:

Below is a list of precautions that you agree to follow if you choose to meet with your therapist in-person.

If you are unable to meet these agreements, notify your therapist prior to your appointment. Your therapist will offer ​you the option to reschedule or have a telehealth appointment.

•You agree that you will notify your therapist if:

o You test positive for COVID-19

o Someone in your home tests positive for COVID-19

o You have recently been in an environment where others are infected

• You agree that you will only meet with your therapist in-person if you do not experience any symptoms of illness ​such as fever, cough, chills, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle, sore throat, nausea or vomiting.

• Notify your therapist if you or anyone in your home tests positive for COVID-19.


Our agreement to meet in-person:

The Therapy Cove providers will adhere to the same agreements listed above.

In addition, your therapist will:

• Monitor his or her symptoms and stay home if they have any symptoms

• Disinfect all high-contact surfaces after each appointment.


Your confidentiality if you test positive for COVID-19:

If you test positive for COVID-19, your therapist may be required to notify local health authorities that you have ​been in the office and will will only provide the minimum information necessary to protect confidentiality.
